Support staff will also need to receive training in managing allergic reactions – this is a priority for ALL school staff.
The
EAACI recommends that face-to-face training is completed annually by a trained professional and refresher online training completed every 6-months.
Where in-house training may not be available, staff should complete e-training courses such as:

Designed to ensure all school staff can recognise the signs of a serious allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) and have the confidence to safely manage pupils with allergies.
Online Allergy Training | Food Standards Scotland
This training would benefit any staff members, particularly in the prevention of allergic reactions. Completion also counts towards CPD.
