Dosage:

Peripheral vascular disease only: see NICE CG147 peripheral arterial disease: diagnosis and management. 200mg 3 times daily. Discontinue after 2 to 4 weeks if no clinical benefit is obtained.

PENTOXIFYLLINE

Modified release tablets 400mg (specialist initiation/recommendation only)

Dosage:

Improve healing in patients with chronic venous leg ulcers off-label. 400mg 3 times daily for up to 6 months. See pentoxifylline shared care protocol.

ILOPROST

  • Raynaud’s Disease: reserved for patients with severe disease and ischaemic complications.
  • Peripheral vascular disease: used for the treatment of severe chronic ischemia of the lower limbs.
